{↑} The BLOK logotype takes its inspiration from the building itself. Originally built in the 80's the new BLOK has been reimagined not rebuilt. We call this Retro Future. We called the custom type BLOK Brut Sans.

{↓} A building with history, now it’s the new kid on the BLOK.

{↑} The shape of the building from above.
{→} Custom typography inspired by the shape of the building and its many edges.
{↓} Full character set of BLOK Brut Sans. Built on a strict grid the type when set feels very architectural and bold. The custom display typeface is used for headlines and way finding. The building identity merges seamlessly with the building itself.

{↑} Communal 5th floor roof terrace.
{←} Custom typography BLOK Brut Sans is weaved throughout, from marketing materials to way finding super-graphics.

{↑} We renamed the building to BLOK, from its original name of 1 Castle Park.

{↓} Copywriting: We worked on tone of voice, and writing for all marketing materials including a set of punchy headlines eulogising the benefits for potential tenants of the building.

{↑} Supporting typeface Neue Haas Grotesk.

{↑} The colour palette draws inspiration from the 1980's, when BLOK was built.Bright colours paired with bold typography make the building stand out in a busy area, giving the building a strong but playful personality.
{→} Branded marketing materials utilising BLOK Brut Sans ensured a cohesive look across all touchpoints.

{→} Super-graphic floor numbers on every floor. The colour of each floor number matches the hand rails and other interior details.

{↑} Logo animaton.

{↓} Using the BLOK-Grid we created a vast library of simple graphic elements to be used for marketing, super-graphics, icons and way finding. This cohesive system made sure that from digital, to print to applied graphics the BLOK visual identity was consistent across the board.

{←} Digital brochure: Designed to standout in a sea of the usual building marketing mediocrity. The brochure is easy to update, allowing agents to be agile in any market changes.

{←} Brochure spread: The place where the visual and written identity comes together to tell the story of the building and its facilities.

{→} We produced a full icon set for use within the building and for marketing materials. The construction of the icons uses the core DNA of the BLOK logotype (BLOK Brut Sans) ensuring further consistency.

{←} Super-graphic icons were applied in very bold, visible and surprising ways for way finding and facilities. The super-graphics are colour-coded per floor to aid navigation through the building for tenants and visitors.

{↑} Extensive signage and wayfinding system guidelines.
{→} Super-graphic type used in the car park to transform an otherwise mundane space.
