{↑} The BLOK logotype is directly inspired by the architecture of the building itself. Originally constructed in the 1980s, BLOK has been reimagined rather than rebuilt—retaining its original character while being redefined for a new era. We refer to this approach as Retro Future.

{↓} A building with history, now it’s the new kid on the BLOK.

{↑} An aerial view of the building’s footprint.
{→} Custom typography inspired by the building’s footprint and its distinctive network of edges and angles.
{↓} Full character set of BLOK Brut Sans, constructed on a strict grid that gives the type a distinctly architectural and assertive presence. When set, the letterforms feel structural and considered, echoing the geometry of the building itself.

{↑} Communal 5th floor roof terrace.
{←} The custom display typeface is used across headlines and wayfinding, ensuring clarity and impact at scale. In doing so, the identity becomes inseparable from the architecture—merging graphic system and physical space into a single, cohesive experience.

{↑} We renamed the building to BLOK, from its original name of 1 Castle Park.

{↓} Copywriting: We developed the tone of voice and crafted all marketing communications, including a set of punchy headlines that highlight the benefits of the building for prospective tenants.

{↑} Supporting typeface Neue Haas Grotesk.

{↑} The colour palette takes cues from the 1980s, the era in which BLOK was built. Vibrant tones paired with bold typography ensure the building stands out in a busy context, giving it a confident yet playful character.
{→} Branded marketing materials, set in BLOK Brut Sans, ensure a cohesive identity across all touchpoints.

{→} Supergraphic floor numerals are applied on each level, with colours matched to the handrails and other interior detailing for a cohesive visual language throughout the building.

{↑} Logo animaton.

{↓} Using the BLOK Grid, we developed a comprehensive library of simple graphic elements for use across marketing, supergraphics, icons, and wayfinding. This cohesive system ensures a consistent visual identity across all applications, from digital and print to environmental graphics.

{←} Digital brochure: designed to stand out in a landscape of conventional building marketing. Easily updatable, it enables agents to respond quickly and remain agile in shifting market conditions.

{←} Brochure spread: where visual and written identity converge to tell the story of the building and its amenities.

{→} We developed a comprehensive icon set for use throughout the building and across marketing materials. Each icon is constructed using the core DNA of the BLOK logotype (BLOK Brut Sans), ensuring a consistent and unified visual language.

{←} Supergraphic icons were deployed in bold, highly visible and unexpected ways across wayfinding and facility signage. Colour-coded by floor, they support intuitive navigation throughout the building for both tenants and visitors.

{↑} Extensive signage and wayfinding system guidelines were developed to ensure clarity and consistency. The system defines typography, colour coding, iconography, placement, and scale, creating a coherent visual language across all touchpoints. The guidelines ensure that every sign—from directional cues to floor identifiers—works as part of a unified, intuitive experience for tenants and visitors alike.
{→} Supergraphic typography applied within the car park transforms an otherwise utilitarian space into a bold, visually engaging environment.
