Plaey Look (Book) 001

Incoming— New work for our friends at Plaey Workshop- a Leeds-based furniture designer/maker workshop that combines form, function and a sense of fun!

We’ve been working on the first Plaey Look (Book) - a handout showcasing some of the newest work from the workshop. The look book layout is designed to be flexible and allow the imagery to be at the forefront to give the audience a flavour of the amazing work Plaey does.

The new look book is printed on a single sheet of A3, and then hand folded into an 8-page booklet, featuring six projects from Plaey on one side. Once opened out, the reverse reveals a Plaey poster featuring their newest project- ‘The Dolly’, designed in collaboration with British band, Hot Chip. Super simple, playful and a little different.

Alongside the look book, we also developed a branded presentation deck, numbering system stamp and material swatch system for Plaey to keep the brand consistent on every output. All of these new assets have been developed from the original work we created for the workshop back in 2017, when we designed the brand identity for Matt’s (Plaey) then new venture. We devised the studio name, a bespoke typeface, brand marque, colour palettes and moving image based around Plaey’s three distinct core principles— simplicity, playfulness & modularity.

You can see the (updated) Plaey Workshop project in full live on our site here!
